Eastside Baptist Church was formed in 1984 just on the outskirts of Vernon, Florida.
The church has always been known for discipling and building relationships.

Our Pastor:
Johnathan Taylor
Johnathan is a lifelong resident of Washington County and a 1991 graduate of Vernon High School. In the spring of 1992 Johnathan accepted Jesus Christ right here at East Side and was baptized in the church shortly after.
In October 2014 Johnathan, his wife – Cheryl, and their two children – Ethan and Sarah, returned to East Side Baptist Church to assume Gods call to pastor this thriving congregation.
Our Minister of Music and Sunday School Teacher:
Michael Brock
Michael is a lifelong resident of Vernon with over 30 years as a teacher in the Washington County School system. He is affectionately known as Mr. Brock by all his former students. He is also the director of our MOE (Men of Eastside) ministry and teaches the youth Sunday school class.
Our Pianist:
Tenille Brock-Fielding
Tenille is a lifelong resident of Washington County and a 1994 graduate of Vernon High School. The pastor likes to brag to people about her having one of the most beautiful voices he has ever heard. Tenille is also very active in the Baptist Women’s ministry and helps teach the adult Sunday School.
